We're Cory and Kelsey. Two 30-somethings with the dream of escaping the city and raising our two rad little boys in the mountains. After many years of dreaming, we’ve done it!

We purchased our land in Summit County, Colorado in October of 2017. Kelsey left his teaching job in May 2018 and we got started on finalizing the design, applying for permits and financing and getting ready for this big endeavor.

We’re so happy that you are here to follow along on our journey to build our modest mountain home. We will do 90% of the work ourselves to save money and ensure the work is done to our standard. Ultimately, our big goal is to deliberately downsize to allow us to focus on the things our family values the most - exploring, being outside, and having fun together.
