Under contract!
After just 11 days on the market, our house is under contract!
Our sweet neighbors even had the opportunity to meet the family that is under contract with our home and really helped sell our neighborhood. Jen, Phil, Katie, and Leviti we owe you all a beer!
Selling a home is crazy stressful. When we moved to this house, we were lucky to keep our first Colorado home as a rental property, so this is our first sale. We're thankful every day that we are working with Tom Evon as our realtor. Tom is so calm and knowledgable and we know we're in great hands as we move through the rest of this transaction.
We were really lucky that for half the time the house was on the market, we were able to be in Frisco during Kelsey's spring break. But, that week at home trying to keep everything "show ready" is something I'm happy to have behind us. I like a neat and tidy home, but this was a whole new level of clean. Obsessively fluffing every rug, arranging each towel (that we weren't allowed to use!), and not using the dishwasher so it stayed shiny is totally not normal for me! Ha!
Even though the "show ready" home was a bit tough to keep spotless, we do like the amount of stuff that we have around. With a big chunk of our stuff already moved to Frisco or donated, it is lovely to come home to zero clutter. We're getting the hang of this minimalism thing and have pledged to be very strict when it is time to start furnishing the mountain house.
Next, the inspection on Saturday morning!
After we get past the inspection, we'll get started with packing up more of our stuff! We're getting a storage unit near our house for our larger items and furniture. And, we'll be able to move more of our smaller items into the crawl space at Mom and Dad's place in Frisco.
Anytime we leave for the weekend in the mountains, Laird (our oldest son) keeps asking if we are moving "for real." Any tips or ideas on how to make this transition easier for him?
We're feeling so grateful for each step that gets us closer to the mountains.
Of course, we won't totally relax until we make it to closing. You never know what will come up. That being said, we're feeling positive and putting good vibes out into the Universe. Onward!
